A couple weeks ago, I was nominated by Millay from Millays Musings for this award. As always, it took me forever to actually do this post, but better late than never. Be sure to check out her awesome blog! And thank you, Millay, for nominating me!

The rules are as follows:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you
  • Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you
  • Nominate 11 bloggers
  • Ask your nominees 11 questions
  • Notify your 11 nominees

What has been your proudest moment?

I was once picked as Junior Tour Guide at Mesa Verde when I was nine…but I don’t know. I don’t think I’ve had big proud moments, just small ones.

What has been your lowest point? (If you do not wish to share this, that is perfectly fine.)

When my father died of a heart attack when I was 15. Nothing has topped that yet.

Thanksgiving isn’t the only day you should be grateful. Name 3 (or more) things that you have been/are thankful for in 2020.

I’m thankful for my amazing family and my wonderful boyfriend.

I’m thankful that I have a comfortable house and don’t have to worry about where my food is coming from for dinner.

I’m thankful that I have to freedom to make me own choices in life about where to go to college, what job to have, and what books to read.

What character are you from your favorite book/movie?

Beatrice from Much Ado about Nothing by William Shakespeare? Not exactly a perfect pair, but I always related to her so well. Her insults are the best!

Why did you start your blog?

I’ve talked about this before, but basically because I wanted to get better at writing and find an outlet for my reading passion.

What has been something you’ve learned from blogging that you’d like to share?

It’s so much work, so don’t go into it thinking it will be easy, but it’s so rewarding too! The community is amazing!

If you could visit any fictional world, which one would you choose?

I would say Middle Earth, but I’m pretty sure I would die there pretty quickly. I’ll go with the world from George Orwell’s 1984, because I feel like I’m living in that world already (that got dark quickly).

What is your favorite holiday tradition?

Lots of food, probably. My mom is an amazing cook, and every year I look forward to her incredible food!

What is one thing that really gets you fired up or angry?

Characters acting modern in historical books! Kidding…not really.

In all seriousness, probably lies. I will always prefer a painful truth to a kind lie.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Not being perfect. It peeves me every day.

What are you most looking forward to in 2021?

Everything! The sky is the limit for the future, where dreams are a reality and nothing is known. I try to be hopeful.

Again, thank you so much to Millay for nominating me! As usually goes with me and these awards, I’m not nominating anyone or thinking of new questions.

Also, I posted a new Youtube video last Saturday evening and I’ll be posting another one tonight. I’d love if you checked it out! Last weeks’ video was my newest book haul!

What are your answers to some of these questions? Have you read any of the books in my latest book haul? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments, follow my blog for more musings and, as always,

Best wishes in your life full of adventure,

Madame Writer

  1. Loved reading your answers!! They were really great! Also, “I will always prefer a painful truth to a kind lie.” Is this original? If so, you must be a poet! Seriously, that is a perfect and poetic way of putting it! Haha! I totally agree with the Middle-Earth thing. Though I’d love to visit, the world would not treat me kindly. 😉 Great post!
