Things are hectic at my house, with the holidays and selling my house, so I didn’t have a post planned for today. But, since it’s Christmas Eve, I thought I’d share my favorite Christmas poem with you. If you aren’t Christian, you probably won’t care for it, but it’s my personal favorite! For reference, Longfellow wrote this during the Civil War, when there was no peace and brother was killing brother (like in the line “The cannon thundered in the South”).
Regular posts will be back on Wednesday.
Thank you!

The poem is impressive and powerful, especially considering that it was written during the period of pathetic war! Merry Christmas! Have a lot of fun!

That’s why I love this poem! Because it speaks of the importance of peace in the middle of war. Thank you and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!
