Summer Book Unhaul 2021

As I mentioned in my book haul last week, one of my goals this year is to unhaul a book for each book I buy. In the last six months, I have bought 37 books. So today I’m unhauling 35 books (okay, so I kind of failed in my goal, but I’m hoping to find two more books to get rid of later).

Also, I’m organizing this unhaul in related chunks to make it more organized for me, even if in my video version of this post I was all over the place.

Dollar Tree Books

All of these were in my Dollar Tree book haul. I bought 9 books and only one of them I liked enough to actually keep. I did give American Girls 4 stars, but I can’t see myself rereading it.

Old School Books

I’m getting rid of actually six of these, but I couldn’t find more pictures for those covers. For The Bedford Shakespeare, I have a complete Shakespeare which I prefer, and this one doesn’t even contain all Shakespeare’s plays. For the second two, they are excerpts of other writings, and I prefer reading the originals in full. The last one I just didn’t really love.

The first I enjoyed, but didn’t love. And all the rest I disliked. The Sherhard’s Notes on Mere Christianity just did not look good after I skimmed it, though I still plan to read Mere Christianity.

I gave full thoughts on most of these books over the last months, and none of them I liked enough to want to reread. The only exception is Imperial Woman, which for some reason I have two copies of, so I’m getting rid of one.

Other Fiction

While I did like some of these, I don’t see myself ever wanting to reread any of them.

Have you read any of these books? Do you find it difficult to unhaul books? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments, thank you so much for reading, follow my blog for more musings and, as always,

Best wishes in your life full of adventure,

    1. That would be awesome to build a small community library! I hope you get back to all your books soon! I know it’s hard for me to leave my books behind even for a weekend.

    1. Yes, exactly! Congrats on rehoming some books too! It’s so sad for books to sit on your bookshelf if you didn’t like them that much, when they could go to someone who will absolutely love them.
