Photo Friday: Snowy Fir

“Are ye the ghosts of fallen leaves, O flakes of snow,
For which, through naked trees, the winds A-mourning go?”

  1. Great shot! It feels freezing cold and slient. But the fir is green. Like a tough gentleman standing straight in the snow~.(my metaphor is strange Lol)

For me, I like the scene that snow covers the camellia sasanqua. The loud red of the flower is in sharp contrast to the white of snow. It’s so beautiful!

And the poem ( Is it a poem?) is so beautiful and imaginative! The snowflake is the ghost of the dead leave. What a beautiful and sentimental metaphor!

By the way, it’s snowy in Nanjing today! Very small but It’s the first snowy day in the city this year!

    1. Snow is Nanjing! That’s so cool! We’ve been having snow for a few weeks now.

I actually love your metaphor. A tough gentleman standing straight in the snow. It’s perfect! I have never seen a camellia sasanqua…I think it only grows in China and Japan. But I looked up pictures and it’s beautiful! And I love the poem too!
