One week in, which means that there are only three and a half weeks left. I’m glad I participated in NaNoWriMo because every year I tell myself I’m going to do it but I never do. Saying that, this will probably be the only year I do this challenge. It’s just too much work in an ordinary life where you have other responsibilities and stuff to do. Maybe if I have to opportunity to take a month off of life, I’ll do it again, but for now, it doesn’t seem practical in a busy life. And I’m not even as busy as most people I know.
But I have learned a valuable discipline of writing every day. Maybe I won’t push myself to write 1,600 words daily, but after this month I definitely want to find time every day to write, even if I only have five minutes to type up a character sketch or rewrite a chapter.
I’ll keep this post short, as I have little idea of what to say, but just know that I completely understand now how exhausting it can be for a professional writer to come out with a new book every few months. I just do not know how they do it.
What is the quickest time you’ve finished writing something (poem, book, short story, etc.)? Do you usually take your time writing things, or like to just get the first draft over with? Let me know down in the comments, I’ll see you tomorrow, and, as always,
Best wishes on your life full of adventure,
